Vegan No-Oil Cream Cheese
Get rid of all the unhealthy fat and oil with this vegan no oil cream cheese recipe. This eliminates all the fat and still gives you a nice creamy spread or base to your recipes. Plus, it is made with healthy soy and all natural plant based ingredients. Make it sweet or savory to fit your tastes!
Savory No Oil Cream Cheese
Stir in some diced green onion, garlic powder or any fresh or dried herbs such as dill, or basil. Spread over crusty sourdough bread or try them in my savory Vegan Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers
Sweet No Oil Cream Cheese
Add a little date syrup or pure maple syrup and serve with some fruit and whole grain bread for breakfast. You can also use this recipe as a cream cheese base for any plant based goods such as cheesecakes or desert bars. Add1.5 teaspoons of tapioca flour and some powdered sugar to make a fluffy frosting for muffins or cakes. There is no end to the versatility!
Vegan No Oil Cream Cheese
Equipment
- immersion blender
Ingredients
- 1 14oz package extra-firm tofu
- 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup nondairy milk (any will work)
Instructions
- Drain and press the tofu and place in a medium sized bowl.
- Add apple cider vinegar, nutritional yeast, salt and milk.
- Blend with an immersion blender until all ingredients are combined and tofu is smooth and creamy.
- Add flavorings by stirring them in.
