Cinnamon Churro Nice Cream
This creamy treat tastes like a cinnamon churro but us dairy and refined sugar free. Cinnamon Churro Nice Cream uses frozen bananas, walnuts, cinnamon and almond milk as the main ingredients. Just blend everything up and freeze for two hours and you will satisfy your ice cream craving in a much healthier way!
Tips And How To Serve:
Nice cream is different from traditional ice cream because it uses frozen bananas as the base. However, you do not get a strong banana taste once everything is blended up. Because it does not use traditional cream that is churned until frozen, it won’t freeze and keep the same as traditional ice cream. Therefore, you will need to be intentional about how you serve it.
Nice cream is best served within 2 hours of freezing. This is when it is at its best consistency…not too hard…not too soft. Use an ice cream scoop to scoop it out.
If you are serving from it being frozen overnight, take it out first and allow it to sit on the counter for 10-15 minutes before serving to allow it to soften up a bit.
I like serving this particular flavor of nice cream with some vegan “orejas” or Mexican sweet bread. Warning…they are not a health promoting treat, but it may be something your or some of your guests may enjoy once in a while. Here is a link to the video where I learned how to make orejas.
